One day, I made a character called Jane believing somehow she would respond differently. She didn't. The odd thing isthey included sassy comments but at Animal Crossing Bells the completely wrong areas. Don't sass me for wanting to play the damned game. Sass me for giving dumb answers to queries, dropping you in a pitfall, wearing ugly clothes, etc..
Frankly, this is one reason I couldn't get into NH. One of my favourite items in NL was that you could simply talk to the villagers and they'd always have something interesting to say about the town or the time of day or the weather or what you or they were wearing and they would often provide you a bit of job or a question after just some interactions. I think I could count on the amount of tasks I have been given in NH on one hand and even though I haven't played that much that they rarely tell me something new. I also really miss NL's songs but I think that is the case for most of us
There is a lot of things lost but a ton of improvements also. Nowadays, I am not really surprised when a new software (like games) fail to add features of the previous iterations. The missing sets I can understand using the regular updates and it appears to follow the Animal crossing mobile game model, but things like: villagers going in and out homes, asking to visit your house, hide-and-seek type mini games, random activities like kicking around a soccer ball are something which gave villagers lifetime
Exactly! We have not even gotten any actual new content aside from... pumpkins? Every upgrade so far has only been adding things from previous games. While it's nice to have upgrades to pull me back to the match it'd be even more difficult to add new characters/events/furniture that we haven't seen before.I thought it was only coincidental that the match was released through lock down.
