Over his previous 5 years in the league, he’s seen a fair amount of special teams work, but a relatively small amount of actual defensive work - however, he does have experience as an inside and outside linebacker, which seems to create some value to having him on the roster, as the entire OLB depth chart is currently Mark Nzeocha. Guards Mike Person and Joshua Garnett continue to sit out with foot injuries, which means, to me, that there may be an outside chance that Najee Toran, an undrafted rookie who was called up from the practice squad this week, may see some game action against the Lions.
